Golf Ball Impact Protection

Keep the view. Stop the golf balls.

01The exposure

One bad shot can become a repair bill.

Course-side properties live with a direction of exposure most homes never face. The vulnerable glass is often the glass you value most: the windows and doors that frame the fairway.

01Fairway, tee-box, and green-facing windows
02Sliding and patio doors with large glass areas
03Lanais, porches, and outdoor-living openings
04Clubhouse dining, lounge, office, and pro-shop glass
02The impact path

The strike reaches the screen before it reaches the glass.

Fortress Screens combine stainless steel mesh with a structural aluminum frame. The exterior barrier absorbs golf-ball impacts and helps keep the window or door behind it intact.

The same permanent system also carries verified Category 5 hurricane protection, cut-proof security, and exterior solar-heat benefits.

01

The ball arrives

A stray shot reaches the exposed elevation of the property.

02

The mesh absorbs it

Impact-resistant stainless steel mesh takes the strike outside the glass.

03

The opening stays protected

The physical barrier remains permanently mounted over the vulnerable opening.

No seasonal setupProtection stays in place every day.
No blocked course viewVisibility from inside remains clear.
No one-size panelEach screen is made for its opening.
03Opening schedule

Protect the elevation that faces the course.

A golf project can begin with the highest-risk openings or scope the complete course-facing side of the property. Every opening is measured and manufactured individually.

05Property applications

One impact problem. Different property decisions.

Homeowners and course operators share the same vulnerable material, but the project scope, approval path, and opening schedule can be very different.

06The system

Metal protection, custom built in Florida.

Golf-ball protection comes from the same permanent Fortress screen system used across homes, businesses, and public properties. The strength is in the complete assembly, not a loose net or temporary panel.

10Questions

Golf ball protection questions, answered.

Can Fortress Screens stop golf balls from breaking windows?

Yes. Fortress Screens use impact-proof stainless steel mesh in a structural aluminum frame. The exterior screen absorbs golf-ball impacts before they reach the glass behind it.

Will the screens block my view of the course?

No. Visibility from inside remains clear, similar to looking through a conventional window screen. From outside, the mesh reduces visibility into the property and adds privacy.

Can you protect sliding and patio doors?

Yes. Fortress Screens are custom manufactured for windows, entry doors, sliding doors, lanais, porches, and other exposed openings. Each opening is measured during the onsite visit.

Can Fortress Screens be installed on a clubhouse or course facility?

Yes. Clubhouses, pro shops, restaurants, offices, lounges, and other commercial buildings can be scoped with custom opening schedules. Permits or engineering are included in project planning when required.

Can the frame color match the property?

Standard frame colors are White, Bronze, and Black. Premium custom colors may be available at additional cost. The color is selected as part of project scoping and the onsite measurement process.

Can Fortress help with HOA or ARC approval?

Yes. Fortress can provide product, appearance, frame-color, and project information for a homeowner's Architectural Review Committee packet. Learn more on the HOA and ARC support page.

Do the same screens also provide hurricane and security protection?

Yes. The same permanent system is Category 5 hurricane rated and uses cut-proof stainless steel mesh. It also intercepts solar heat before that heat reaches the glass.
